This section combines BioTop LOS treatment systems, oil separators and sorption blocks. They serve different stages of surface-runoff treatment and are selected as a coordinated process.
Equipment in this section
BioTop LOS provides a combined treatment process. Oil separators are used for an oil-separation stage; sorption blocks provide further filtration after preliminary treatment. The configuration depends on the contaminants and the intended discharge.
Selection and installation
Selection takes account of peak flow, the catchment area, contamination, inlet and outlet elevations and site conditions. Service access, hydraulic connections and the installation arrangement are defined in the project.
Operation and maintenance
Inspect the accumulation of sediment and separated oil. Remove collected waste and replace or service filter media according to actual loading and the operating instructions. Maintenance access must remain available.
