Jecod Air Compressors

← All Pumping Equipment

Jecod air compressors supply air to aeration systems and air lines in biological wastewater treatment plants. The catalog features the PA45, PA60, PA80, PA100, and PA200 models. An air compressor is not a substitute for a wastewater pump.

How an Air Compressor Works

The diaphragm mechanism draws air in and delivers it through the outlet to the air line. The compressor supplies air to the treatment plant; it does not pump wastewater. Air is delivered to the aerators, which disperse it in the water. The required air flow and pressure depend on the aeration depth, air-line resistance and the treatment process.

Compressor Application and Selection

When selecting a model, the following factors are taken into account: the required air flow rate at operating pressure, the depth at which the aerators are installed, the resistance of the air lines, and the requirements of the wastewater treatment plant. The maximum flow rate listed in the technical specifications and the flow rate at the operating point may differ. Selecting a model based solely on the model designation is insufficient.

How to Operate a Compressor Properly

Install the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated location protected from flooding, as specified in the design. Do not submerge the compressor in water or block the ventilation openings. Install backflow prevention devices in accordance with the installation diagram and the manufacturer’s instructions.

Check the air filter, hoses, connections, noise, and vibration. Turn off the power before performing maintenance. Replace worn diaphragms and other parts according to the instructions for the specific model. A decrease in air flow requires diagnosis, not an arbitrary increase in power.
